Tournament Details
Tournament Conditions

The Tournament is comprised of Championship Cup & Junior Cup competitions. Championship Cup shall be decided by strokes over three rounds of 18 holes each whereas Junior Cup shall be decided by strokes over three rounds of 9 holes each. Both competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Ltd and in accordance with the Local Rules approved by the Tournament Committee.

Tournament format for the Championship Cup is the following: ​

Day #1 – 18 holes Individual stroke play, the best 4 scores to count (max 10 players per Club)

Day #2 – 18 holes Individual stroke play, the best 4 scores to count (max 10 players per Club)

Day #3 – 18 holes Individual stroke play, the best 4 scores to count (max 10 players per Club)

Individual Competition – There will also be an individual competition for the competitors of the Championship Cup, decided by strokes over 54 holes. The top 3 competitors will receive medals.

Tournament format for the Junior Cup is the following:

Day #1 - 9 Holes Individual stroke play, the best 3 scores to count (max 6 players per Club)

Day #2 - 9 Holes Individual stroke play, the best 3 scores to count (max 6 players per Club)

Day #3 - 9 Holes Individual stroke play, the best 3 scores to count (max 6 players per Club)

Individual Competition – There will also be an individual competition for the competitors of the Junior Cup, decided by strokes over 27 holes. The top 3 competitors will receive medals.

Specimen conditions in the Rules of Golf are in effect as regards Driving Clubs and Conforming Golf Balls.

Entrants must be amateur as defined by the current Rules of Amateur Status.

The Tournament shall be played at "The Dunes" & "The Bay" golf courses.

In the event of tie, Sudden Death playoff format will be in place – Clubs shall nominate 1 player for competing in play off (Stroke play - Gross), at The Dunes golf course. (Starting Hole TBD by Tournament Committee)

All Prizes will be awarded in terms of gross score.

Caddies are not permitted. Only exception is for the final day (Day #3) of the Tournament, where the players of the Junior Cup are permited to Caddie the players competing on the Championship Cup.

One Team Advisor per club can be appointed for this competition.

Distance measurement devices will be permitted (only measuring distance).

The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without assigning a reason.

The competitor shall start at the time laid down by the Committee, who reserves the right to fix and/or alter starting times and to alter or amend any of the Conditions.

The Committee’s decision in all disputes is final.

Lockers will be available for the teams free of charge. Please should not leave any valuables in the lockers.

This is a walking competition. No buggies or electric trolleys are allowed.

Manual trolleys will be available free of charge

A reasonable standard of dress is required at all times on the course and in the clubhouse. Jeans, tee shirts and track-suits are not permitted. Caps and hats are not permitted in the clubhouse. Only soft spikes are permitted on the course. Mobile phones must be switched off on the course.
Entry Conditions

Entries for the Championship Cup, will only be considered from junior Boys & Girls, with a handicap of 36.0 or under. (EGA Exact Handicaps)

Entrants for the Championship Cup, must be under 17 years of age on January 1st, 2018. The Committee may request the production of a birth certificate of any competitor either before or during the Tournament.

Entries for the Junior Cup, will only be considered from junior Boys & Girls, with a handicap of 45.0 or under. (EGA Exact Handicaps)

Entrants for the Junior Cup, must be under 13 years of age on January 1st, 2018. The Committee may request the production of a birth certificate of any competitor either before or during the Tournament.

Entrants must be registered members of a Junior Golf Academy in Greece.

The Captain from each Golf Club must register his players by providing the following details:

Players’ name and age
-
Competition that he/she will participate
-
Up-to-date Players’ handicap certificate
-

At registration, all competitors must show an up-to-date handicap certificate. The handicap declared at Registration will be the handicap used throughout the week for the qualifying rounds.

Tournament Committee

Tournament Committee will be formed by the following Members:

Captain of Host Club

Captains from all the Clubs participating in the Tournament

Members of Hellenic Golf Federation (if available)

Members of the PGA Greece (if available)
Players Information
-
Practice tee times will be available 3 days prior to the event. During practice rounds only one ball shall be in play with the following exception: if a player misses the green with his shot to the green, he may play one additional shot.

Practice balls will be available free of charge at the driving range. Practice balls cannot be used on the championship course.

Pro shop with golf equipment and clothing is located in the club house.

Golf bag storage will be available in the club house.
-
Tournament information, draws, results and pictures will be published by the tournament committee prior and during the tournament.
